The Theodor Aman Museum, one of the oldest memorial museums in Romania, was opened in 1908 in the painter's residence, the first house studio of an artist in the country.

One of the few residences in Bucharest that have not changed over time, the house preserves the atmosphere of private life from the Belle Epoque period alongside most of the works of the painter Theodor Aman (1831-1891), considered the first Romanian modern artist.

The curious visitor entering this exquisite museum is greeted by Aman himself, a virtual figure created from the most well-known image of the painter. A digital layer with pre-edited video content is superimposed on a live-view video feed where the visitor is also captured. A PIR sensor triggers the digital layer when it detects the visitor's movement.

The application captures images with the two types of content superimposed - the live view and the digital layer. The moment of the capture is synchronized with the interaction, and Aman's character in the pre-edited video content announces that the photo capture is coming. The captured images are delivered via the local network on a viewing medium (computer with multitouch display) in thumbs format. The visitor is directed to search for the photo, share it on Facebook, or print it on the spot for a fee.
